April 24th was marked as the closing day of «SportAccord» international convention that was held at 19-24 of April in Sochi.

«Koresh» at international «SportAccord» convention.

Event format ensured an International Federations and Associations an opportunity to present their own sports at the highest level. SAC was conducted with an objective to provide the participating countries with unique platform for the ways of sports development discussion and a productive dialogue between the sports association’s leaders to build.

This year’s convention was attended by such honorable quests as President of Russia V.V. Putin, President of Russian NOC A.D. Zhukov, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia A.V. Dvorkovich.

The interests of «Koresh» wrestling were traditionally represented by International Koresh Federation with its President Z.M. Minnakhmetov. During the whole convention period International Koresh Federation was presented at SAC Village & Demo Zone, and showed to the world’s sport’s community and to event guests «Koresh’s» traditional & cultural originality with the Tatarstan Republic’s artists participation.

«Koresh» Demo-Zone was visited by the Minister of Sports of Russia V.Mutko, President of «SportAccord» M.Vizer where they were familiarized with the «Koresh» techniques basics and have expressed after the confidence in the traditional sports further development necessity.

At SAC’s Demo-Zone, there have been many different martial arts & combats, such as SAMBO, JUDO, BOX, JU-JITSU, AIKIDO, traditional wrestling styles of Kirgizstan, Iranian, Northern Caucuses and many others were represented. And even amid the Olympic Sports «Koresh» generated a huge interest among the convention guests and  SAC Village visitors.

Furthermore, the range of meetings and discussions with IF’s and associations have been held during the convention, including the discussion with the FISU President Mr. Claude-Louis Gallien having an objective to include «Koresh» wrestling in to the upcoming Universiade’s programs.
